About Us

Dr. Marc Langland is a native son of Vashon, a meticulous artist at heart, and the longest-practicing dentist currently serving the community. Growing up just down the street from the practice, Marc developed an early appreciation for precision and craftsmanship while building model airplanes and exploring woodworking. That love for detail naturally led him to dentistry, where he blends his interest in science and art into every restoration he creates.

After attending Gonzaga University and earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Langland worked in a dental lab, further cementing his desire to pursue the profession. He went on to attend Creighton Dental School, where he received extensive hands-on training in a wide range of procedures thanks to the school’s general dentistry focus. While there, he served with the Institute for Latin America Concern in the Dominican Republic, performing hundreds of oral surgeries and embracing service as a core part of dentistry.

Returning home to Vashon, Dr. Langland joined the very same dental practice where he once shadowed mentors Dr. Maki and Dr. Eckman in high school. Working side-by-side with Dr. Maki after graduation, he gained invaluable real-world experience during their early years together, setting the foundation for his own thriving practice. Today, he continues their legacy with the same level of excellence, compassion, and attention to detail.

Dr. Langland prides himself on offering long-lasting, high-quality dentistry, especially when it comes to full mouth rehabilitation for worn dentition and natural-looking implant restorations. He is dedicated to keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry, and has taken over 600 hours of continued education through the Washington Academy of General Dentistry Master Track program.

His patients often come to him not knowing that transformative options even exist until he takes the time to walk them through what’s possible. It’s this educational and collaborative approach that stands out in a community full of thoughtful, inquisitive residents.

Outside the office, Dr Langland is a family man and gentleman farmer. On the weekends, You can find him tending to his orchard, goats and chickens with his wife and three kids.

Giving back is central to who we are. Dr. Langland and his team are proud to lead several programs that provide care to underserved residents right here on the Island. Dr. Langland and his team all volunteer their time to the incredible “Give Vashon a Smile Day,” a full day in which complimentary dentistry is offered to those who need it.

Our team also participates in partnerships with Vashon Youth and Family Services, and are committed to making oral health accessible to those in need. In addition, we've received multiple grants to provide care for low-income Hispanic individuals, and serve through the Vashon Health Fair’s Dental Van each year. It’s just one more way we live our motto: Islanders caring for Islanders.
